The cabaret of Bourgane, 84490
Buildings dating from the mid-18th century... As far as I know....
An outbuilding of the castle of Bourgane of the Marquis Ripert de Monclar...
This building is called 'Le Cabaret'.
In the wikipedia, a 'Cabaret' means a place where one serves to drink. But in the 18th century what did that mean? There are several fountains on the facades of the buildings that give waters from the 'rieu neuf' for hundreds of years. Now it is a winery building of the estate of 'Hugues'. They make a very good rosé now..
This ambiguity is represented here by the swing of the building and the 'moulin rouge' effect lining the façade....
